Section R477-12-2 - Abandonment of PositionManagement may consider an employee who is absent from work for three consecutive working days without approval to have abandoned the employee's position and resigned from the employing agency.
(1) Management may process appropriate actions to formally separate an employee who has abandoned their position from state employment.(a) Management shall send the employee notice that the employee's resignation has been accepted to the employee's last known address.(b) The notice shall grant the employee five working days from receipt, delivery, or attempted delivery of the notice to request that the agency head reconsider accepting the resignation.Utah Admin.
