Section 700.1002 - How does the Relative and Other Designated Caregiver Program differ from the Permanency Care Assistance Program?(a) The Permanency Care Assistance Program is a program that provides monthly cash assistance benefits, Medicaid health coverage, and a one-time reimbursement of nonrecurring expenses on behalf of a child to a caregiver who becomes a licensed or verified foster care provider, becomes the managing conservator of a child in DFPS conservatorship, and meets other eligibility criteria as described in Division 2 of this subchapter (relating to Permanency Care Assistance Program).(b) A relative or other designated caregiver is not eligible to receive benefits under the Relative and Designated Caregiver Program on behalf of any child for whom the caregiver is also receiving either foster care reimbursement or permanency care assistance.(c) For more information on who is eligible to receive permanency care assistance, refer to Division 2 of this subchapter.40 Tex.
