Section 1730-03-.02 - SCOPE OF PRACTICE(1) The scope of practice for veterinary technicians is limited to procedures that are assigned or delegated to the veterinary technician by the supervising veterinarian and do not involve diagnosing, prescribing, or performing surgical procedures.(2) Veterinary technicians who perform procedures not delegated under this rule, procedures specifically prohibited, or tasks without the responsible supervision of a supervising veterinarian may be subject to disciplinary action pursuant to T.C.A. § 63-12-124.
