Rule 556.8 - Recording of Testimony Before Indicting Grand Jury(A) Proceedings before an indicting grand jury, other than the deliberations and voting of the grand jury, shall be recorded by a court reporter or by a suitable recording device, and a transcript made.(B) The supervising judge shall retain control of the recording device and the original and all copies of the transcript, and shall maintain their secrecy.(C) When physical evidence is presented before the indicting grand jury, the supervising judge shall establish procedures for supervising custody.The provisions of this Rule 556.8 adopted June 21, 2012, effective in 180 days, 42 Pa.B. 4140.
