Section 268:6-3-2 - Purpose and scope

(a) This chapter describes the purpose of and the methodology behind the administration and maintenance of firefighter training recognition programs by the Council On Firefighter Training, as required by 75 O.S., Section 302.

(b) Recognition programs for firefighter training are another means by which we can work together to raise the level of firefighter training across the state. Additional firefighter training amongst more of our state's firefighters benefits the people of Oklahoma by protecting their lives and their property, as well as keeping the firefighters themselves safer in their work.
