Section 901:1-4-04 - Family - canidae; common names - gray wolf (excluding hybrids) and african wild dog
This rule applies exclusively to Gray wolves and African wild dogs as dangerous wild animals as defined in division (C) of section 935.01 of the Revised Code.
(A) Primary enclosure shall be constructed of at least nine gauge diameter chain link or its equivalent.(B) For one or two animals, the primary enclosure shall be a minimum of four hundred square feet, eight feet high, and either have a roof or have a cantilever. For each additional animal, the primary enclosure must be increased by two hundred square feet.(C) Permit holders possessing more than one of the animals regulated under this rule shall house them in stable pairs or groups of compatible individuals, except where single housing is justified based on social incompatibility resulting from inappropriate behavior or veterinary concerns regarding animal well-being.
