Section 07C .0402 - [Effective 3/1/2025] ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATESThe Department shall provide:
(1) to the Register of Deeds in the county of the notary public's commissioning:(a) a certificate of appointment that includes the appointee's full legal name and the commission name of the appointee; and(b) a commission certificate in the commission name of the appointee to be used by the Register of Deeds to document that the notary oath has been administered to the appointee; and(2) a duplicate commission certificate to a notary public, upon request to the Department.18 N.C.
