Section 7419.5 - Hairstyles(a) Consistent with the requirements of Part 7425 of this Title, OCFS may establish rules for the permissible style and length of a resident's hair.(b) Residents assigned to work in areas where food is stored, prepared, served or otherwise handled shall be required to wear a hairnet or other head covering.(c) The facility director, or person acting in that capacity, may determine that certain work assignments constitute a safety hazard to those residents with long hair or beards. Residents unwilling or unable to conform to the safety requirements of work assignments shall be removed from such work assignment.(d) When, in the opinion of the facility director, or person acting in that capacity, the growth or removal of a resident's hair, including facial hair, creates an identification problem, a new photograph may be taken of the resident.N.Y.
