I, Malcolm Wilson, Governor of the State of New York, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Laws of the State of New York, do hereby direct by Executive Order that the initial paragraph of the Executive Order of July 29, 1974, establishing the Interdepartmental Commission on Services to Children and Youth, be amended as follows:
During the past year, the heads of State agencies concerned with providing services to juvenile delinquents, young people in need of supervision, neglected, abused and dependent youth and children with handicapping conditions have been meeting informally to coordinate their efforts and the efforts of local units subject to their supervision in the provision of such services. To encourage the continued development of creative and imaginative programs in these vital areas, I, Malcolm Wilson, Governor of the State of New York, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of New York, do hereby formally establish in the Executive Department an interdepartmental commission, to be known as the Interdepartmental Commission on Services to Children and Youth, to consist of the Commissioners of Mental Hygiene, Education, Health, Social Services, and Criminal Justice Services, the Executive Director of the Board of Social Welfare, the Chairman of the Drug Abuse Control Commission, and the Directors of the Division for Youth, the Division of Probation and the Office of Planning Services.
