I, Nelson A. Rockefeller, Governor of the State of New York, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the Laws of the State of New York, do hereby direct by Executive Order that the initial paragraph of Executive Order No. 22, dated April 27, 1967, designating the Interdepartmental Traffic Safety Committee as the State agency to coordinate and approve State highway safety programs, be amended to read as follows:
I, Nelson A. Rockefeller, Governor of the State of New York, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the Laws of the State of New York, do hereby establish an Interdepartmental Committee, to be known as the Interdepartmental Traffic Safety Committee, to consist of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, as Chairman, and the Commissioners of Education, Health, Mental Hygiene, Criminal Justice Services, Transportation, the Superintendents of State Police and Insurance, and the Chairman of the New York State Thruway Authority. The Chairman shall appoint annually a Vice-Chairman who shall perform the duties of Chairman in the Chairman's absence, or at such other time or times as the Chairman may direct.
