Section 240.4 - New districts
(a) In the course of the formation of a new central school district, the district superintendent of schools shall propose to the commissioner a name in accordance with the provisions of this Part. Upon approval, such name will be used by the commissioner in laying out such district.
(b) In the course of the formation of a new common or union free school district, the district superintendent shall propose a name in accordance with the provisions of this Part. Upon approval by the commissioner, the proposed name shall be the name of the school district.
(c) In the case of unorganized school districts, the district superintendent shall propose a name in accordance with the provisions of this Part. Upon approval by the commissioner, the proposed name shall be the name of such district.
