Section 205.2 - Voluntary interest arbitration(a) In the event that a public employer and a certified or recognized employee organization agree to submit any unresolved issue in negotiations to arbitration, they may request the assistance of the board in providing for such arbitration by a letter directed to the director of conciliation.(b) The written request may be initiated by either party and shall be accompanied by a copy of the submission.(c) An arbitrator shall be designated pursuant to the selection process established by the director of conciliation, which process will give the parties an opportunity to participate in the selection of the arbitrator.N.Y.
