Section 94.1 - Definitions

As used in this Part:

(a)Licensed physician assistant means an individual who is currently licensed as a physician assistant by the New York State Department of Education.

(b)Registered specialist assistant means an individual who is currently registered as a specialist assistant by the New York State Department of Education.

(c)Hospital means an institution or facility possessing a valid operating certificate issued pursuant to article 28 of the Public Health Law and authorized to employ physician assistants pursuant to part 707 of the State Hospital Code.

(d)Physician means a practitioner of medicine licensed to practice medicine pursuant to article 131 of the Education Law.
