Section 7.27.3.6 - OBJECTIVE

The purpose of these regulations are three fold:

A. they establish the administrative functions for the medical direction committee of the department; and

B. they provide guidelines that outline the elements of medical direction necessary for all components of an EMS system in New Mexico pursuant to Section 24-10B-4 D(1) NMSA 1978 of the EMS Act.

C. they establish the legal basis for use of "jumpkits" by EMT providers that are physically separate from ambulance/rescue vehicles.
