Section 9A:17-1.1 - Authority and purpose

(a) The Commission on Higher Education is charged with implementing Campus Assistance Grants, pursuant to 18A:72F-1 et seq. This program has been modified to meet the fiscal requirements of the FY 2011 Appropriations Act and to preserve the broad purpose of providing assistance to disadvantaged doctoral candidates.

(b)18A:72F-4 phases out the Minority Faculty Advancement Loan and Loan Redemption Program and provides for its administration until program participants exhaust their eligibility.

(c)18A:72F-11 assigns to the Commission on Higher Education responsibility for rulemaking to implement 18A:72F-1 et seq. except for the loan and loan redemption provisions that are being phased out.
