Section 2:3-1.7 - Quarantine of livestock and poultry entering State(a) All livestock and poultry entering the State are subject to quarantine by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture. 1. Actions taken by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture as part of a quarantine in accordance with (a) above, may include, but shall not be limited to: i. A directive prohibiting movement of livestock or poultry into or out of a quarantine area;ii. A directive requiring diagnostic tests and procedures to confirm that the livestock or poultry are no longer affected by infectious, contagious, and/or communicable disease and that the premises are decontaminated and that the premises shall remain under quarantine until such confirmation is received; and/oriii. Department oversight of the cleaning, disinfection, and/or disposal of any premises, vehicles, protective clothing or equipment that may have been contaminated due to an outbreak of infectious, contagious and/or communicable disease.N.J.
