Section 16:54-13.1 - Suspensions(a) Any license issued pursuant to this chapter may be suspended for a period not to exceed 90 days when, in the interest of public safety or the safety of those participating in aeronautical activities, the Bureau determines that a violation of the terms of the license and/or this chapter has occurred; or a hazard exists which threatens the safety of the general public or those participating in aeronautical activities.(b) Any aeronautical inspector or other personnel identified in N.J.A.C. 16:60-1.3 as law enforcement officers may immediately suspend an aeronautical facility license when they deem it necessary to ensure the safety of the general public or those participating in aeronautical activities.(c) The Bureau shall notify the licensee of suspension action immediately by the most expeditious means and shall confirm such notice in writing.(d) Licensees may appeal suspension actions, pursuant to 16:54-14.1. (e) Aeronautical facility licenses which have been suspended shall have the cause abated within the suspension period. Facilities which have not had corrections made during the suspension period shall be presented to the Director, who may extend the suspension or may begin action to revoke the license.(f) The Director may hold a conference concerning any license suspension action, either when requested by the licensee or by the Department.N.J.
