Section 10:167D-4.9 - Social Security Account Number(a) Each applicant must include his or her Social Security Account Number (SSAN) on the application form. The SSAN, a unique and verifiable number, is utilized to differentiate between persons with the same name. Married persons must also indicate the SSAN of their spouse.(b) In the event that the applicant does not have a SSAN, a unique identifying number will be assigned by the Department. This number will be used to uniquely identify the beneficiary.N.J. Admin. Code § 10:167D-4.9
