"Prescription" means authorization to administer medications or treatments issued by an advanced practitioner of nursing, a licensed physician, a licensed physician assistant, a licensed dentist or a licensed podiatric physician in the form of a written or oral order, a policy or procedure of a facility or a written protocol developed by the prescribing practitioner.
