Section 370-1300-1302 - PRIZE POOL
1302.01 Prize Pool

The prize pool plus prize reserve set-aside deduction for all prize categories shall consist of fifty percent of each drawing period's sales. Any amount remaining in the prize pool at the end of this game shall be carried forward to a replacement game or expended in a manner as directed by the Product Group in accordance with state law.

1302.02 Prize Reserve Accounts

An amount equal to up to one and thirty-two one hundredths percent ( 1.32 %) of a Party Lottery's sales, including tax and exclusive of free ticket prize redemptions, shall be placed in trust in one or more prize reserve accounts until the Party Lottery's share of the prize reserve account(s) reach(es) the amounts designated by the Product Group. The Product Group, with approval of the Finance & Audit Committee, may establish a maximum balance for the prize reserve account(s). The shares of a Party Lottery may be adjusted with refunds to the Party Lottery from the prize reserve account(s) as may be needed to maintain the approved maximum balance and shares of the Party Lotteries. Any amount remaining in a prize reserve account(s) at the end of this game shall be carried forward to a replacement prize reserve account or expended in a manner as directed by the Product Group in accordance with state law.

Comment. The maximum amount to be held in the Prize Reserve Account was set at $280,971.90 by the 2by2 Group on August 1, 2007. The Group shall determine when to start and stop the deduction and shall also establish the schedule for the amount of the deduction with the limits of this rule. This funding shall continue until the prize reserve accounts reach the amounts set by the Group.

1302.03 Expected Prize Payout Percentages

All prizes awarded shall be paid as set cash prizes or Free Ticket prizes with the following expected prize payout percentages:

As described above the first set of numbers are the "red" set of numbers, the second set of numbers are the "white" set of numbers.

* If more than ten (10) plays chosen by players contain the four (4) winning Grand Prize numbers in any one drawing, the prizes shall be divided as set forth in Reg-1302.03(a)(a). The above percentages assume maximum funding of Prize Reserve Account has been reached.

(a) The Grand Prize shall be a set amount of $22,000 unless more than ten (10) game play areas contains the four (4) winning Grand Prize numbers in any single game drawing in which case the total prize money to be paid on ten (10) eligible tickets (taking into account eligible double prizes) shall be divided equally per prize type (standard prize and double Tuesday prize winners each receiving their proportionate share) on a pari-mutuel basis based on the number of winning game play areas.

Comment. For example, if there are seven standard grand prize winning plays and four double Tuesday grand prize winning plays, then each standard winning play shall receive (10/11) times the (Total of the $22,000 payout) divided by (Number of $22,000 prize winners) and each double Tuesday winning play shall receive (10/11) times the (Total of the $44,000 payout) divided by (Number of $44,000 prize winners).

(b) The prize pool percentage allocated to the prizes shall be carried forward to subsequent draws if all or a portion of it is not needed to pay the prizes awarded in the current draw. If the total of the prizes awarded in a drawing exceeds the percentage of the prize pool allocated to the prizes, then the amount needed to fund the prizes awarded shall be drawn from the following sources, in the following order:
(i) the amount allocated to the prizes and carried forward from previous draws, if any;
(ii) an amount from the prize reserve account, if available, not to exceed the balance of that account
(iii) An amount from the member lottery's Unreserved Account held by MUSL based on the percent of sales by member lottery for that draw,
(iv) from the general funds of the member lottery based on the percent of sales by member lottery for that draw.
(c) A "Free Ticket" prize shall constitute a free quick pick single-board 2by2 ticket for the next upcoming draw.
