The Secretary of the Board of Educational Lands and Funds is granted the authority by the Board to request surveys from the State Surveyor to determine location of boundary lines and acres of land within educational land leases when such a survey is necessary to make accurate appraisals or to determine ownership of improvements. The Secretary shall direct such request for survey only when he feels it necessary for the best interest of the Trust.
