The Board consists of sixteen members, appointed as follows:
(1) By the Governor: (a) One representative of the telecommunications industry (b) One representative of the electric power industry investor-owned utilities (c) One representative of the cable industry (2) By the Lieutenant Governor: (a) One representative of the excavation, utility and/or site construction industry (b) One representative of the Electric Power Associations of Mississippi (c) One representative of the natural gas or liquid transmission industry (d) One representative of the natural gas or liquid distribution industry (3) By specified entities: (a) The President of Mississippi 811, Inc., or his designee; (b) The Executive Director of the Mississippi Department of Transportation, or his designee; (c) The Executive Director of the Mississippi Association of Professional Surveyors, Inc., or his designee; (d) The Executive Director of the Mississippi Association of Supervisors, or his designee; (e) The Executive Director of the Mississippi Municipal League, or his designee; (f) The Executive Director of the Mississippi Homebuilders Association, or his designee; (g) The Chief Executive Officer of the Mississippi Rural Water Association, or his designee; (h) The Executive Director of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Mississippi, or his designee; and (i) One representative of the Pipeline Safety Division, serving as an ex officio, nonvoting member. 39 Miss.
