At the lime of need, the next of kin, responsible party, or the family's funeral director of choice makes arrangements directly with MVMC staff.B. Before burial can take place, cemetery staff must verily the Veteran's eligibility. To enable staff to do this, the next of kin or funeral director must provide the staff with a copy of the veteran's military discharge papers, or the veteran's military service number, social security, or VA claim numbers.
