Rule 23-101-8.2 - Beginning Dates of the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) EligibilityA. The benefit start date for the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) is the first (1st) day of the month following the month of application, provided all eligibility factors are met. There is no retroactive eligibility for CHIP-eligible children other than newborns.B.
