Identified cases shall be reviewed by the TPM and TMD, as appropriate, for determination of need for further action. The TMD provides oversight for the review process for all aspects of the multidisciplinary trauma care from the time of the injury through discharge. PIPS data shall be routinely presented to a committee within the hospital charged with trauma PIPS; the trauma program shall also interact with the organization's performance improvement/quality program referring appropriate issues for review.
