Five percent (5%) of the amount reserved for distribution to hospitals shall be distributed to designated burn centers within the Trauma Care System. If more than one burn center is operating within the system, the 5% will be distributed based on a pro-rata share of patients as determined by Trauma Registry inputs. (Note: Trauma patients counted toward burn center distribution cannot be used to determine hospital variable distribution.) If no hospital has been desig nated as a burn center at the time of the distribution, the 5% shall be included in the Hospital Fixed Distribution.
