Rule 15-3-1-1.2.1 - Application for Initial Trauma/Burn Center designationa. To receive designation as a trauma center, or as a burn center, or as a tertiary pediatric trauma center, an applicant hospital shall submit an application to the Department. Within 60 days of receipt of the application, the Department shall provide written notification to the applicant hospital that the application has been received by the Department; whether the Department accepts or rejects the application; if accepted, the date scheduled for an education visit; if rejected, the reasons for rejection and a deadline for submission of the corrected application to the Department.15 Miss.
