Section R. 432.11109 - Special proceedingsRule 1109.
(1) The board may suspend a license issued to a casino licensee without notice or hearing if the board determines that the safety or health of patrons or employees would be threatened by the continued operation of the casino or that the action is necessary for the immediate preservation of the integrity of casino gaming, public peace, health, safety, morals, good order, or general welfare.(2) If the board determines that an emergency exists, then the board may suspend a casino owner's license, a supplier's license, or an occupational license by 1 of the following procedures:(a) By an authorized individual or panel of individuals without notice or an evidentiary proceeding.(b) After a hearing conducted by a hearing officer. The resulting order shall include a brief statement of the facts and the law that justifies the board's decision to take the specific action.(3) The suspension of the casino owner's license may continue until the board determines that the cause for the suspension of the license has been abated.(4) The board may revoke the casino owner's license if the board determines that the casino licensee has not made satisfactory progress toward abating the hazard to the safety or health of patrons or employees within a reasonable period of time.Mich.
