Section R. 408.41256 - Ladder jack scaffoldsRule 1256.
(1) A ladder jack scaffold shall be used only for light duty on type I manufactured ladders at heights not more than 20 feet from the ground or floor level. The ladder shall be used as prescribed in Construction Safety Standard Part 11. "Fixed and Portable Ladders," as referenced in R 408.41201.(2) All bearing points of a ladder jack shall be designed to bear on the side rails and the rungs, but if bearing on the rungs only, the bearing area shall be not less than 10 lineal inches per rung.Mich.
