(1) An extrusion machine and floor model controller panel shall be secured to prevent tipping.(2) When running production, the in-running nip points on a take-off machine pulling extrusions, except sheets, from the extruder shall be guarded by a barrier adjusted to within 1/4 inch of the material.(3) When running production, sheet and film extrusion machinery shall be guarded by a barrier or enclosure at all in-running pinch points exposed to contact.(4) An extrusion machine having an open feed screw shall have the feed screw covered by an interlocked gate or cover to prevent the operator from being caught in the point of operation.Mich.
