Section R. 408.10575g - Supported equipmentRule 575g.
(1) Supported equipment shall maintain a vertical position in respect to the face of the building by means other than friction.(2) Cog wheels or equivalent means shall be incorporated to provide climbing traction between the supported equipment and the building guides.(3) Additional guide wheels or shoes shall be incorporated as may be necessary to ensure that the drive wheels are continuously held in positive engagement with the building guides.(4) Launch guide mullions that are indexed to the building guides and that are retained in alignment with the building guides shall be used to align drive wheels that enter the building guides.(5) Manned platforms that are used on supported equipment shall be in compliance with the requirements of R 408.10575b(1), (2), and (4) to (11) with respect to suspended equipment.Mich.
