Section R. 408.14252 - InspectionRule 4252.
(1) Daily visual observation, without dismantling, shall be made of a forging hammer and forge press to insure the safe condition of bolts, screws, keys, valves, and all parts of treadles and clutches and other operating mechanisms that might become loose by vibration.(2) A periodic and regular maintenance safety inspection shall be made of forging machinery and equipment, including guards and point of operation protection devices by a trained and authorized employee.(3) A record shall be made and maintained to show the date of inspection, equipment number and condition found.Mich.
