Section R. 408.13845 - Chain falls and hoist and pullers; capacityRule 3845.
(1) A chain fall or hoist and puller shall be used at not more than its rated capacity.(2) The capacity of a chain fall or hoist and puller shall be permanently labeled or marked on it.(3) An accessory, such as a chain or cable used to secure or support a chain fall or hoist and puller, shall have a capacity of not less than the chain fall or hoist and puller.(4) An object subject to a lift or pull by a chain fall shall have the capacity to absorb the lift or pull without creating a hazard to an employee in the area.Mich.
