(1) Belt sanders shall have all pulleys enclosed including sides and periphery except the working end of an edge sander. An exhaust hood may be part of the guard.(2) The edges of the unused run of the belt shall be guarded.(3) These guards shall effectively prevent the hands or fingers of the operator from coming in contact with the nip points.Mich.
