Section R. 408.12309 - Definitions; I to MRule 2309.
(1) "Interlocked press-barrier guard" means an enclosure which is interlocked so that the press cycle cannot be started normally unless the guard or hinged or movable sections enclose the point of operation.(2) "Knockout" means a mechanism for releasing material from either die. A stripper or liftout is a type of knockout.(3) "Manual feeding" means handling by an operator at each stroke of the power press the material or part being processed.Mich. Admin. Code R. 408.12309
