Section R. 408.40820 - Storage of lumberRule 820.
(1) Lumber shall be stacked on level and solidly supported sills so as to be self-supporting and stable.(2) A pile of lumber manually stacked, and a pile of lumber to be manually unstacked, shall not exceed 6 feet in height.(3) Lumber which is mechanically stacked shall not exceed 10 feet in height. This lumber shall not be rehandled manually, except as prescribed in subrule (2) of this rule.(4) Used lumber shall have all protruding nails removed or bent into the lumber before stacking.Mich.
