Section R. 408.40133 - IlluminationRule 133.
(1) The employer shall provide a minimum illumination intensity of 10 footcandles on a jobsite where construction work is being performed.(2) The employer shall provide a minimum illumination intensity of 5 footcandles to areas on a jobsite where work is not being immediately performed but where workers may pass through.(3) The employer shall provide a minimum illumination intensity of 50 footcandles for first aid stations and infirmaries.(4) For areas or operations not covered by subrules (1) to (3) of this rule, refer to ANSI A11.1 "Industrial lighting," 1965 edition, as adopted in R 408.40105.Mich.
