Section 10.10.10.06 - Permissible SpecimensA. General. An employer requiring job-related alcohol or controlled dangerous substances testing shall require that:(1) A job applicant provide only one or more of the following types of specimen: (2) An employee or contractor provide only one or more of the following types of specimen: B. Specimen Types. An employer requiring job-related alcohol or controlled dangerous substances testing may not require the testing of any specimen other than:(1) Blood, urine, saliva, or hair, for a job applicant; and(2) Blood, saliva, or urine, for an employee or contractor.C. Hair. An employer may require that a job applicant submit a hair specimen for controlled dangerous substances testing if the hair specimen is: (1) Less than or equal to 1-1/2 inches in length measured from the human body;(2) Tested only for preemployment purposes; and(3) Not used for a purpose other than controlled dangerous substances testing.Md.
