These compost standards are intended to be used by state agencies in purchasing compost products made from organic waste Products or for writing specifications for licenses, permits and contracts that may call for the use of such products. These standards have been developed and adopted by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources as mandated. They may be voluntarily used or adopted by other agencies for their own programs.
