Section I-9945 - Employee Health Policies and ProceduresA. Nursing facility employees with a communicable disease or infected skin lesions shall be prohibited from direct contact with residents or their food, if direct contact will transmit the disease.B. The nursing facility shall require staff to wash their hands after each direct resident contact for which hand washing is indicated. An antimicrobial gel or waterless cleaner may be used between resident contact, when appropriate. The nursing facility shall follow the current Centers for Disease Control's Guideline for Hand Washing.La. Admin. Code tit. 48, § I-9945
