Section I-9081 - Equipment [Formerly Section 9067]A. Equipment shall be clean and in good repair for the safety and well-being of the residents.B. Therapeutic, diagnostic and other resident care equipment shall be maintained and serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.C. Methods for cleaning, sanitizing, handling and storing of all supplies and equipment shall be such as to prevent the transmission of infection.D. After discharge of a resident, the bed, mattress, cover, bedside furniture and equipment shall be properly cleaned. Mattresses, blankets and pillows assigned to residents shall be in a sanitary condition. The mattress, blankets and pillows used for a resident with an infection shall be sanitized in an acceptable manner before they are assigned to another resident.La. Admin. Code tit. 48, § I-9081
