Section I-6289 - Exterior Space RequirementsA. The provider shall maintain all areas of the facility that are accessible to the clients in good repair and free from any reasonably foreseeable hazard to health or safety. All structures on the grounds of the facility shall be maintained in good repair. 1. Garbage and rubbish stored outside shall be secured in noncombustible, covered containers and shall be removed on a regular basis.2. Trash collection receptacles and incinerators shall be separate from recreation/play areas and located as to avoid being a nuisance.3. Clients shall have access to safe, suitable outdoor recreational space and age appropriate equipment. Recreation/playground equipment shall be so located, installed and maintained as to ensure the safety of the clients.4. Areas determined unsafe, including steep grades, open pits, swimming pools, high voltage boosters or high speed roads shall be fenced or have natural barriers to protect clients.5. Fences that are in place shall be in good repair.6. The provider shall ensure that exterior areas are well lit at night.La. Admin. Code tit. 48, § I-6289
