Section II-702 - Deferral of Sentences to ConfinementA. Sentences to confinement are deferred until the sentence has been approved and ordered executed by the convening authority unless he denies deferral of confinement in writing. Denial of deferral of confinement should ordinarily be accomplished prior to announcement of sentence; however, the convening authority may, for cause deemed good and sufficient by him, deny deferral and order the accused into confinement after announcement of sentence and before he approves the sentence and orders it executed.La.
