Section XI-4921 - [Effective until 11/11/2024] Nonpayment of Health ClaimsA. In the event a health insurance issuer pends a claim, as permitted pursuant to Emergency Rule 49, and is subsequently entitled to cancel or terminate a policy for nonpayment of premium, the health insurance issuer shall pay any remaining claims for which payment is required under Emergency Rule 49. After the first month of the grace period has lapsed, the health insurance issuer may deny payment on pended claims for services rendered to the insured during the period of nonpayment.La. Admin.
