Section LXXIX-1703 - Elementary Libraries/Media CentersA. It is recommended that elementary schools with a centralized library/media center have a trained librarian/media specialist for at least 20 hours per week. This person does not have to be a certified librarian, but should have at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.B. It is recommended that elementary schools have library books at the ratio of 10 volumes per pupil. Three subscriptions per 100 students are recommended for elementary schools.La. Admin.
