Section 91-16-18 - Provisions for payment of tuition and refund policy
(a) When the student commences his or her state approved vocational education courses or program, the vocational education institution shall submit to the board of education of the district of the student's residence, a statement for the state approved amount of tuition due for the courses or program.
(b) Remittance shall be made to the vocational education institution as follows: Statements for tuition rendered on or before January 20 shall be due and payable by January 20 unless otherwise provided by mutual agreement of the parties. Statements rendered after January 20 and on or before June 20 shall be due and payable on or before June 20 unless otherwise provided by mutual agreement of the parties.
(c) If within thirty (30) days after its commencement, a student drops a course or program in which he or she is enrolled and has been attending, only one-half (1/2) of the tuition shall be due and payable from the sending school district. In the event the full amount of tuition has been paid, one-half (1/2) of that amount shall be refunded to the sending school district within the time limits set out in subsection (b) of this regulation.
