Unless otherwise authorized by the executive director, each facility manager shall have a primary set of value chips, a separate secondary set of value chips, a primary set of non-value chips, and a non-value chip reserve, which shall conform to the color and design specifications set forth in K.A.R. 112-108-10. An approved secondary set of value chips and reserve non-value chips shall be placed into active play when the primary set of value chips or non-value chips is removed.
(a) The secondary set of value chips shall have different secondary colors than the primary set and shall be required for all denominations.(b) Each facility manager shall have a non-value chip reserve for each color utilized in the gaming facility with a design insert or symbol different from those non-value chips comprising the primary set.(c) The facility manager shall remove the primary set of gaming chips from active play if at least one of the following conditions is met:(1) A determination is made by the facility manager that the gaming facility is receiving a significant number of counterfeit chips.(2) Any other impropriety or defect in the utilization of the primary set of chips makes removal of the primary set necessary.(3) The executive director orders the removal because of security or integrity.(d) If the primary set of chips is removed from active play, the facility manager shall immediately notify a representative of the commission of the reason for this occurrence.Kan.
