Section 105-6-2 - Expenses allowedExpense reimbursements shall include reimbursement for the following expenses:
(a) the cost of photocopying prepared briefs; (b) the cost of binding appellate briefs for each case; (c) in-state travel and subsistence by appointed attorneys, not to exceed the rate set by the secretary of the department of administration for state employees in accordance with K.S.A. 75-3201, et seq. and K.S.A. 75-4601, et seq.; (d) expenses incurred by appointed attorneys in obtaining computerized legal research if the case presents a unique question of law to be researched. Such expenses shall not exceed $200; (e) expenses incurred by appointed attorneys in taking depositions, if found to be authorized by statute and necessary in order to provide an adequate defense and when prior approval has been obtained from the court; (f) costs of mailing briefs; and (g) expenses incurred by appointed attorneys which would otherwise have been approved and paid by the board directly to a third party in accordance with statute or rule and regulation.
