Household income includes income of the claimant and the claimant's spouse and actual monetary payments made to the claimant by any other person living with the claimant. Household income does not include Social Security benefits received by the claimant's child and given to the claimant.
Monetary payments do not include goods and services provided to the claimant by a person living with the claimant.
This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code section 425.17(6) as amended by 1994 Iowa Acts, chapter 1165, and section 425.17(7).
