An industry member is prohibited from selling alcoholic liquor, wine, or beer to a retailer on consignment. Consignment means a sale under which the retailer is not obligated to pay for the alcoholic liquor, wine, or beer, until the product is sold by the retailer.
This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code section 123.186.
